Indulge in homemade meals and shop for local food products at Urban Eats
Urban Eats is the perfect spot for foodies in Houston! Under one roof, they combine a restaurant serving delicious meals and drinks with a store offering specialty products for dining in.
When you enter Urban Eats you walk right into the Urban Market. Here, you can sit down for a cup of coffee or shop for house crafted and local products like oils, jams, jellies and one of my favorites: ice creams from Cloud 10 Creamery. Growing up with cheese sandwiches, I was also excited to see that they sell freshly baked bread and a great variety of international cheeses.
On the second floor, you find the bistro + bar and a rooftop patio with a view of Downtown. Just like in their store, the food on the menu is inspired by family recipes and crafted in house or sourced locally. Our waitress also pointed out that on the walls they display art of new talents every couple of months. It was so nice to notice how much the staff takes pride in their concept! After dinner you can stay for a drink in the Urban bar. Tip: if you enjoy live music, visit Urban Eats on a Friday or Saturday. You can check the schedule of performing artists on their website.
