There’s a new hotspot in town: Piada Italian Street Food. Inspired by the family operated food carts and corner markets in Italy, Piada opened it’s first restaurant in 2010. And luckily for us, this incredibly popular restaurant from Ohio is now also located in Houston.
Piada serves fresh Italian food like pasta bowls, salads and tomato basil soup but got its name from their famous piadas. These can best be described as stone-grilled sandwich wraps filled with authentic ingredients such as calamari, mozzarella and diavolo sauce. You can choose from the menu or create your own by combining the ingredients that you like.
The food at Piada is well-known for being fresh, fast and tasty and I couldn’t agree more. Just one tip: don’t forget to order their deliciously sweet cannoli chips for dessert. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.
