Hearty Southern food, great hospitality and delicious wine on tap at Harold’s Houston
Harold’s Restaurant, Bar & Terrace has been in the Houston Heights for quite some time. Last Summer, owner Alli Jarrett also opened a Tap Room in their beautiful historic building. What used to be the Heights General store has been converted into a 1,300 square foot tap room. They serve the usual suspects, but bar manager Julia Tillman also created a variety of new cocktails, including the Walnut Espresso Martini I clearly couldn’t resist! Another fun fact: they offer eight different wines on tap.
Besides great drinks, chef Antoine Ware brings tasty and hearty Southern and Creole food like the Crispy Shrimp Balls, KG’s Double Brined Chicken, and the PBJ Bread Pudding in their restaurant upstairs or on the rooftop terrace with a great view of 19th Street. In the Tap Room downstairs you can now also order from a special breakfast menu. From 9AM – 3PM you can get delicious breakfast pizzas, sliders, and pastries and pair it with one of their coffee infused cocktails. Or, if it’s still a little early for you, just go for a regular americano or latte.
