Artsy food and drinks at Honey Art Cafe Houston
In December, Honey Art Cafe opened its doors in Montrose, close to other hotspots like Fat Bao and Trader Joe’s. At this new creative hub, you can sip on your milk tea, treat yourself to macarons, or participate in one of their art classes.
A couple years back, art duo Lulu and Lin established Houston Art Lessons and taught around 1,000 art classes in their River Oaks studio. Now, with the help of Kickstarter, they expanded and made Honey Art Cafe a reality. Their vision? Great art and great food should be accessible to everyone, so all of their food and drinks are priced under $10. I absolutely love the clean and colourful decor and adore the beautiful wall art created by the owners. I decided to order the Matcha Latte and the impressive 8-layer Parfait with Yoghurt, Granola, fruit, and cream. So incredibly yummy! Other hot items on the menu are the Smoothie Bowl and Hong Kong Egg Waffle. As for the art classes, most of these take place on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and range from anime drawing workshops to urban sketching. I think I already found the perfect class to attend: a BYOB Classes creating Hipster Alpacas. Who’s in?
