Creative latte art and homemade chai at Blacksmith Houston
Once an iconic Montrose gay bar, this place on Westheimer is now transformed into a popular coffee spot. You can visit Blacksmith for a quick coffee at the bar or take a seat at one of the tables to enjoy your drink, breakfast or lunch.
One of the things I really like about Blacksmith is the stellar customer service. Whether you’re a newbie or just doubting about what to order, the baristas are always happy to help or give a recommendation. And when you order a latte, they make sure to turn it into a small piece of art. True craftsmanship just like you could expect from the traditional blacksmiths… I also love the fact that so many things are made in house. Their homemade almond milk, chai and granola are simply delicious!
The generous amount of seating and the wide bar make it a perfect spot to study or work. On a beautiful day you can also sit outside on the new patio. They’re open every day from 7am to 5pm and there’s plenty of parking space at the back.
